The Love Of God For Us & In Us

Home > Daily Inspiration > The Love Of God For Us & In Us

Pawhuska Bible Church took on a challenge of reading 1 Corinthians Chapter 13 every day for a month. I, personally like to read it from the Amplified version of the Bible. During my reading, I noticed something that is present in the beginning verse, and the last verse.

Verse 1 says, “IF I [can] speak in the tongues of men and [even] of angels, but have not love (that reasoning, intentional, spiritual devotion such as is inspired by God’s love for and in us), I am only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.”

Verse ‭‭13 says, “IF I [can] speak in the tongues of men and [even] of angels, but have not love (that reasoning, intentional, spiritual devotion such as is inspired by God’s love for and in us), I am only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
And so faith, hope, love abide [faith–conviction and belief respecting man’s relation to God and divine things; hope–joyful and confident expectation of eternal salvation; love–true affection for God and man, growing out of God’s love for and in us], these three; but the greatest of these is love.”

Notice that in both verses‭‭ reference is made to God’s love for us and God’s love in us. I believe that we need a revelation of God’s love for us, but also a revelation of God’s love that is in us. That love of God in us is there to love others as He loves us.
